#BookADayUK 18: Made me laugh in public

Made me laugh in public? That’s a lot of books actually. This tends to happen on my lunch break at work because I’ll whip out a book and just chillax for a bit. Some, however, make me so laugh I embarrass myself in front of my coworkers! Blurb:

Saga is an epic space opera/fantasy comic book series created by writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Fiona Staples, and published monthly by Image Comics.

The series, which is heavily influenced by Star Wars, and based on ideas Vaughan conceived both as a child and as a parent, depicts two lovers from long-warring extraterrestrial races, Alana and Marko, who struggle to survive amid a galactic war with their newborn daughter, Hazel, who occasionally narrates the series.

I don’t have kids (or plan to any time soon…ever?) but I read 3 Jon Klassen picture books at a BAMB bookshop party last Saturday and I laughed loads in the bookshop at each of them. For today’s book I’ll just pick I Want My Hat Back which just had such a funny climax and such a funny ending. Jon Klassen is a brilliant illustrator and author, and his books deserve your attention.
