Author you’ve read the most books from:
J. K. Rowling, I believe. Don’t quote me on this though, I love series and tend to read the heck out of them. I’ve read 7 Rowling books. Second place with Marion Zimmer Bradley, I’ve read 6 books by her.
*Random thought: I lie, I’ve read all the True Blood/ Sookie Stackhouse books and that goes up to 13! Oops!*
Best Sequel Ever:
I’m going to purposely not name a Harry Potter book for this. So here it goes: Fire (Graceling #2) by Kristin Cashore.
World War Z by Max Brooks (And I’m lovin’ it to be honest).
Drink of Choice While Reading:
Tea or hot chocolate! They’re such comforting things.
E-reader or Physical Book?
Both. I won’t even try to make a decision on this one because each format has its own pro + con. If I can find a physical book and it doesn’t cost too much, I’ll buy it. I tend to purchase e-books these days. Why? I’m a travelling student + museum worker so my life is confined to a number of boxes and suitcases and with my Kindle, I can take my most precious babies with me wherever I go.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter. Hands down, would have dated her, or Ginny Weasley. I love me some strong women! (Oh don’t act all surprised!). I just love intelligence.
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
Ugh, this one will have to go to Cinder by Melissa Meyer. I resisted this book to the nth degree, because I’m normally not a sci-fi or robots fan, but my friend Sasha hammered me till I gave it a chance and now I’m freakin’ hooked. Darn her.
Hidden Gem Book:
Erm, erm. Errrrm… I’d say Caucasia by Danzy Senna.
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
This is going to be so lame, but discovering GoodReads. It totally changed things. Why? Well, before I was limited to hunting for books on Amazon or random libraries in The Bahamas, so reading was a bit slow. But on GoodReads, I had the biggest library at my finger tips and it was amazing. It inspired me to start my own book blog, which is easily, one of the best decisions I’ve made in my 20s.
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
Cheesy romance. Clingy romance. Damsel in Distress romance. No. I tend not to like sci-fi and books with jack-ass male protagonists, or whiney women. I’m very picky about what I read.
Longest Book You’ve Read:
A Storm of Swords by G. R. R. Martin at 1, 117 pages! At the time it didn’t seem so long, but damn it sure seems it now.
Major book hangover because of:
Number of Bookcases You Own:
I own 1 book case. Or I did, because it’s been sold now so, I own about 4 book boxes. Large boxes. Packed tightly.
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Harry Potter series in general. I reread the books every year, as they always calm me down.
Preferred Place To Read:
On my bed. I have to read laying down, I can’t stand to do it sitting up, so either a long couch or bed.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
Erm, not getting on to the e-book bandwagon sooner. I was so anti-e-book and anti-e-reader until an ex-girlfriend gave me an e-reader and I was immediately addicted. I should have saved myself some trouble and just embraced the trend the minute it came out.
Series You Started And Need To Finish (all books are out in series):
There are so many series that I need to finish, but just won’t do so! I’d say the Hangman’s Daughter Series. I’ve been flipping through the last book for the past month, and I know I’ve got to finish it, so hopefully it’ll happen this year.
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
J. K. Rowling. Duh, I figured you all would know this by now. I normally don’t fangirl, as I rarely love something so much that I consume products for it or get excited about it, but Harry Potter would most definitely be it.
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
Erm… right now? I’m not super excited about anything but I’d be glad to read the sequel to Seraphina, Shadowscale.
Worst Bookish Habit:
I’m very anal about the books I read and in what order. I tend to also consume every book in a series, and if I have to wait for the last book or another installment, I lose interest and when it comes out, I don’t pay attention to it. It took me forever to read the final book in the Delirium series and I’m not all that excited for Alliegent of the Divergent series. I’ve just had to wait too long. But that’s me, I’m lazy.
X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Considering my life is in a garage with boxes, I can’t do that. Sorry!
Your latest book purchase:
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I stayed up till 6AM.
