15 Day Book Challenge: Day 10

15-Day-Challenge

Day 10:How do you choose what to read next?

So, this is another easy one! Yay! Well, how do I choose what to read next? I typically base it on my gut feeling. I have a bunch of books on my shelves and my kindle and my eyes just scroll down the list till I find something that piques my interest.

I also do it based on what’s been on my mind. Lately, I’ve felt like going back on my Nancy Drew kick so I’ll probably go do just that! She counts as Historical Fiction right?

I’m sure y’all have a more formal process for this, do you base it on something other than feeling?

I admire your carefree approach to picking your next read! I’m definitely a little more systematic, checking when ARC reviews and library books are due. But if the next book on the list that I “should” read just isn’t working for me, I will jump to something that I can enjoy 🙂

  2. Hmmm… I guess what I feel like reading is what I pick up next. Sometimes I pick something just to check it out, or maybe as research. I’ve been reading more YA lately as I plan to write a YA series soon. I tend to go for easy reads when I’m super busy and have a lot going on, so it’s easier to put down, and I won’t forget critical things (because there ARE no critical things) if I have to rest it down for a few days or a week or something. I like a heftier read when I’m on a break from writing and work isn’t too hectic.
