Day 5: Recommend a tear jerker.
So, I don’t think I’ve read any books recently that have made me cry. There are the usual suspects (Harry Potter books confound you! You made my throat turn into so many lumps of grief. I weep for Hedwig and Fred!) but other than that I typically manage to stay tear jerker free. Call it a talent, if you will.
I will say this though, the last book to make me cry was in 2012, and I bawled for quite some time. It wasn’t that the book was sad, though it is, it just had some way of reaching in me and making me remember the stuff I care not to remember.

Favourite Line: “So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.”
Looking for Alaska is hands down, a tear jerker. It is my type of tear jerker, it’s beautiful, simple, elegant and so damn emotional. I’ve read other books from John Green but nothing, nothing has had the effect on me like this book has. Even thinking about it now I’ve gotten a bit emotional.
