WWW Wednesday (April 17 Edition)

www_wednesdays4So I’ve always wanted to try doing one of these memes. I’ve seen plenty of other book blogs utilise them, but with my own heavy schedule I never really had a chance. But I’ve decided to slow my roll with my own schedule and post more for fun instead of for ‘scheduled’ purposes. So you’ll get your Happy Hour posts, but sometimes I might have a WWW one up as well! This a good compromise?

So WWW Wednesday’s is a weekly meme from Should Be Reading. They’ve got this to say about it:

WWW Wednesday is a weekly event where you share (1)What you’re currently reading, (2)What you recently finished reading, and (3)What you think you’ll read next.

So here I go:

What You’re Currently Reading:

Reached by Allie Condie. I’m not enjoying it too much to be frank but I’ll trudge through it. I refuse to start a book and just quit, I’ve only done that once and don’t want to again.

Has anyone read this? What do you think of it?

What Did You Recently Finish Reading:

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. I loved this. I remember that my friend Sasha had to twist my arm to read Cinder, and I was all roudy and rude saying, “I don’t do robots!”. I ate my words. I ate them big time because I am obsessed with the Lunar Chronicles now and I NEED BOOK 3.

What Will You Read Next:

Blood Between Queens by Barbara Kyle. This is next up on my list, I’m doing a review for it for a virtual tour organized by Amy from Historical Fiction Virtual Book Tours. I’m excited to read it but bajeebus it looks long!

What are your WWW’s?

About Claire (BWB)

It's Claire (aka Quirky) from Bitches With Books, an online book blog that serves up a healthy dose of book reviews, lists + literary madness.

Yaaaaaay, so glad you finally read Cinder and Scarlet and loved them! My favorite YA series. 😀 I haven’t gotten into that series by Allie Condie, so I can’t be much help about Reached. I haven’t heard much about it either, surprisingly.

So Cinder is the awesomeness and I’m bummed that I can’t enter your giveaway :p!

The Allie Condie series is… I dunno. I don’t know WHY I started reading it, I think someone told me that it was one of the firs dystopian books to come out. So, I gave book 1 and 2 a shot and they were OK but this last one is like pulling tooth and nail.

You’re kind of confirming my fears about that series. A lot of people love it, but then I just get the feeling that it’s… not for me. Hrm.
