Happy Hour: Ent-Draught (A Middle-Earth Cocktail)

Happy Hour

Ent-Draught:

1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Coconut Rum
3 oz. Lemonade
Mint leaves

Make It:

  • Fill Highball Glass with ice.
  • Add 1 oz. of Coconut Rum.
  • Add 1 oz. Vodka.
  • Add 3 oz. Lemonade.
  • Tip: We wouldn’t use store-bought lemonade, we made our own lemonade with simple lemons, water and brown sugar.
  • Mix with spoon or coffee stick.
  • Add Mint leaves to drink as garnish
  • Tip: Personally, we crushed the mint at the bottom to give it a bit of flavor).

Inspiration Behind Ent-Draught:

Lord Of The Rings is chock full of drinks and recipes. Tolkien was a mastermind at describing life in Middle Earth in amazing detail and with startling clarity. Ent-Draught was another drink that caught our eyes, and though it is a simple sort of brew, we thought the earthy taste and scent described in the book fit with a sort of lemony, minty drink.

This drink is a twist on a classic Lemonade cocktail.
